Billie, 18, is the latest in a line of megastars to do the Bond theme, and she and her brother Finneas composed the song for No Time To Die.
Bond legend Dame Shirley – who sang the theme for Diamonds Are Forever, Goldfinger and Moonraker – was impressed with Billie’s offering.
She told the Big Issue magazine: ‘It’s a big honour for a young artist to live up to the Bond expectation. She did a good job.’
No Time To Die will be Daniel Craig’s last outing as the superspy 007, however the release date has continually been pushed back due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Originally slated for release on April 2, 2020, it was moved back to November 12, 2020 when the first lockdown began.
However, due to the second wave and lockdown in the UK, it was later announced that it would be moved back further, with the new release date expected to be April 2, 2021.
A statement from the producers read: ‘We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing No Time To Die next year.’
As for who might take over the role once Daniel Craig hangs up his tuxedo, rumoured favourites include Tom Hardy and Henry Cavill.
Producer Barbara Broccoli previously told Total Film that no decisions would be made on the next star until No Time To Die has been released.
She explained: ‘I always say: you can only be in love with one person at a time.
‘Once the film’s come out, then some time will pass, and then we’ll have to get on to the business of the future. But for now, we just cannot think about anything beyond Daniel.’
James Bond: No Time To Die is due for release on April 2, 2021.
