Coronation Street has cast former EastEnders actor Glen Wallace as a face from Carla Connor’s (Alison King) past.
In scenes which will air on Friday January 29, Carla is taken aback when Lucas — played by Glen — arrives at the factory.
Carla initially met Lucas when she was living in Devon, and — upon his arrival at the factory — it becomes apparent that he is her new client.
She has a lot on her mind during the episode in question, and she calls at No.1 to offer Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) her support. However, when Peter makes it clear that he doesn’t want her anywhere near him, she throws caution to the wind and heads off to lunch with Lucas.
Lucas reveals that he’s booked a hotel for the weekend — asking Carla if she’d like to join him.
Carla readies to leave for the weekend with Lucas, but Peter — having had a heart-to-heart with Roy Cropper (David Neilson) — asks her not to go.
Actor Glen is perhaps best known for portraying DS Cameron Bryant in EastEnders — a role he played between 2014 and 2016.
The character was a colleague odd DS Emma Summerhayes (Anna Acton), and featured heavily in the ‘Who Killed Lucy?’ story — making his very first appearance in the episode directly following the young girl’s demise.
Glen also appeared in Hollyoaks between 2007 and 2010 as Malachy Fisher.
