Malin Andersson attempted suicide after the lack of her baby daughter.
The Love Island star’s four-week-old daughter Consy died in January after she was born seven weeks prematurely.
And Malin, 26, has revealed she struggled to address the devastating loss.
The actuality star posted an image of her caesarean scar to Instagram to mark each World Mental Health Day and Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Malin wrote: ‘The dying of a baby will not be a uncommon occasion. It can joyful to anybody. I share my story, not only for any cause, however to give energy to those that have gone by means of related, to drive enhancements within the bereavement care and help obtainable for these affected and in remembrance for my little girl Consy and others.
‘It can also be World Mental Health Day (Suicide Prevention) 💚- and I for one know that I felt so low I attempted to take my own life – from earlier occasions and likewise shedding my baby. Straight after shedding my baby girl I had no household round me and no help other than my closest associates, and @sandscharity reaching out to me.
‘Hospitals did not reach out to me apart from to discuss the post mortem and to register her birth and death at the same time. Not everyone has somebody there for them – It all links together, and the only way that we can create change and more awareness is to spread the word.’
She concluded: ‘We remember the babies born sleeping, those we carried but never held, those we held but could not take home, those who came home but could not stay.’
Fans praised Malin for being so open with her experiences, with Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan leaving a string of coronary heart emojis below the image.
Malin confirmed the devastating information that Consy had died a day after she had handed, sharing an image of her baby on Instagram.
She wrote: ‘Completely in love with you.. and my Mum just wanted you to be with her. Your time wasn’t prepared but. Mummy loves you. I stayed with you every day.. you opened your eyes one final time for me and I noticed these lovely large brown eyes.
‘I’m so sorry I couldn’t do anymore. Go be with grandma Consy. ❤️ My angel. Rest in peace CONSY GLORIA EMMA ANDERSSON-KEMP 23/12/18-22/01/19.’
Malin – who appeared on Love Island in 2016 – beforehand informed Metro.co.uk that she didn’t need to let her loss outline her as a person.
The make-up artist stated: ‘Everyone deals with different things in their life. Everyone goes through stuff, but it’s the way you course of it and take care of it that issues probably the most. ‘You can both let it eat you, or you might simply let it evolve you as a person and use it as a type of energy.
‘When you suffer stuff or loss. If you let it kind of define who you are, it will eat you up. So it’s greatest to let it make you a greater person.’
