Max George is a family man these days after settling down with girlfriend Stacey Giggs and her children but admits he ‘would love’ to have his own baby in the future.
Since then, Max has become a father figure for Stacey’s two children Libby, 17, and Zachary, 14, who she shares with her former husband.
Max, 32, has developed a close bond with Libby and Zachary but is also ready to become a father himself.
‘Fatherhood is obviously something I would love. But I never expected I could have family like I do, even with Stacey’s kids,’ the singer told the Sun On Sunday.
‘They are my family. I could never have dreamed of feeling so close to a woman and kids before. If we have some [kids], amazing. But I’m so happy.
‘I couldn’t have asked for more. If that does happen, lovely, I’m completely content with everything,’ he added.
Max went on to describe Stacey, 38, as his ‘everything’ and said he has ‘never felt so strongly’ about a girlfriend. He admitted that he has ‘calmed down’ since The Wanted split in 2014 as he’s no longer having late nights out.
‘I’m not out with the lads all the time clubbing — I’ve not done that since I met Stacey. I take my work a lot more seriously,’ he said.
Max and Stacey were torn apart during his time on Strictly as the singer had to create a self-isolated bubble away from his family.
Still, he managed to find a way to keep them close by setting up a camera in the dance studio where he rehearsed with partner Dianne Buswell so Stacey and the kids could watch.
Max said at the time: ‘It’s like a little TV screen, I’ve got a portal and it’s HD and it follows you around the room so wherever I walk it follows me. I turn that on so it’s like I’m there. Eyes on me.
‘Obviously it’s hard of course and we miss each other loads but it’s just going to make the reunion even nicer, the longer it goes on.’
