Naomie Harris couldn’t walk for a month during ‘traumatic’ battle with scoliosis

Naomie Harris has revealed she couldn’t walk for a month as a result of her ‘traumatic’ battle with scoliosis.

The 007 actress was 11 when she was identified with the illness, which turned rather more ‘severe’ in her teenagers, prompting her to have an operation.

She spent weeks recovering after a metallic rod was put in her backbone and needed to learn to walk over again when she left the hospital.

‘The progression of the disease became severe in my teens, and I needed an operation. Doctors inserted a metal rod down my spine,’ she advised Shape journal.

‘I spent a month in the hospital recovering and had to learn how to walk again. It was really traumatic.’


The 43-year-old added that she felt particularly ‘lucky’ as a result of there have been kids within the hospital she was being handled at who would by no means walk correctly once more.



‘I saw kids in the hospital with scoliosis so advanced that they would never be able to stand properly. I felt really lucky. Since then, I have always appreciated the gift of a healthy body,’ the British star defined.

Meanwhile, Naomie’s been protecting busy filming scenes for Bond 25 alongside Daniel Craig (it’s a powerful life).

Fans might be happy to listen to that the star has reprised her function as Bond’s ally and MI6 secretary Moneypenny in newest installment, which is about for launch in 2020.

The British star – who lately found slave commerce hyperlinks in her ancestry – addressed hypothesis about whether or not Moneypenny and Bond ever get down and soiled.

‘‘People always ask me if they slept together. I don’t assume they did,’ she advised Tonight.
