Phoebe Waller-Bridge was left ‘teetering on the edge of a depression’ as she felt pressured to conform to magnificence requirements.

The 34-year-old revealed that inspiration for her award-winning sequence Fleabag got here from the truth that she was provided a restricted quantity of roles upon leaving drama faculty as felt she had to change into an ‘ideal version of a woman’.

The actress can be penning the upcoming James Bond movie, No Time To Die, and she beforehand insisted that she was not introduced in to make the long-lasting spy ‘woke’.

As Phoebe is understood for focusing on feminism all through her work, many assumed that she could be writing a feminist-esque storyline for the movie, however this isn’t the case.

‘They were just looking for tweaks across a few of the characters and a few of the storylines,’ she mentioned on BBC Radio 4’s The Today Programme.

And she additionally said that she was not attempting to change the character’s character.

‘They were already doing that themselves. They’ve having that dialog with themselves the entire time,’ she continued.

‘[My involvement] was way more sensible. Just, “You’re a writer, we need some help with these scenes. And you come up with some dialogue for these characters.’”

James Bond actor Daniel Craig beforehand revealed that he is ‘privileged’ that Phoebe is concerned within the upcoming 25th movie within the franchise.

‘I had my eye on her since the first Fleabag, and then I saw Killing Eve and what she did with that and just wanted her voice,’ he said.



‘It is so unique – we are very privileged to have her on board.’
