Pierce Brosnan has shared a tribute to his late daughter Charlotte on the seventh anniversary of her death.
The 67-year-old also wished a happy birthday to his granddaughter, Marley May, who turned five this month.
Quoting a line from the 1942 film Casablanca, Pierce captioned the post: ‘Here’s looking at you kid… in remembrance of Charlotte and with happy birthday wishes for my darling Marley May.’
In the snap – taken by Pierce’s wife Keely Shaye Smith – Pierce is seen reclining on a sofa, wearing a linen shirt, shorts and sunglasses.
The Mamma Mia! star’s first wife, Cassandra, died from ovarian cancer in 1991 and Charlotte, whom Pierce adopted after he married her mother, died of the same disease in 2013.
Charlotte was survived by her husband Alex and her children Isabella and Lucas.
Irish-American actor Pierce, who married Keely in 2001, also lost his producing partner, Beau St Clair, to ovarian cancer in 2016.
Actress Anna Friel was among those who commented with messages of support.
Pierce opened up about Charlotte and Cassandra’s deaths from the ‘wretched’ disease in 2014 for a Stand Up To Cancer special.
He said: ‘To watch someone you love have his or her life eaten away bit by bit by this insidious disease, that kind of sorrow becomes an indelible part of your psyche.
‘I held the generous, strong, beautiful hand of my first wife Cassie as ovarian cancer took her life much too soon.’
The actor added: ‘And just last year , I held the hand of my funny, wonderful daughter Charlotte before she too died from this wretched, inherited disease.’
