Tulisa pens emotional letter to Jesy Nelson after suicide attempt: ‘Rise above the dark times’

has penned an emotional open letter to Jesy Nelson after the Little Mix star opened up about her suicide try.

Jesy, 28, revealed she’d tried to take her personal life in 2013 after being overwhelmed with vile taunts from on-line trolls about her appears to be like every day.

In response, Tulisa – who was Little Mix’s mentor on The X Factor in 2011 – tweeted a supportive message praising her for ‘rising above the dark times’.

She went on: ‘Knowing you were going through all of this in silence breaks my heart but to see the person you have become, rise above the dark times and now be in a place to help others shows the world just how strong you have always been.’



Tulisa, who has a secret group chat with Little Mix, signed off: ‘I love you Jesy.’

Jesy revealed final week that she couldn’t ‘tolerate’ the ache of being relentlessly trolled, with one notably merciless tweet by skilled bully Katie Hopkins leaving her ‘severely depressed’.

‘I felt that I physically couldn’t tolerate the ache any extra,’ she informed The Guardian.
