A stalker wanted to date a police officer who arrested her so badly that she broke into a police station, it is alleged.
Ashley Keister, 27, had reportedly been harassing an unnamed member of the West Wyoming, Pennsylvania police with sexual advances since he arrested her for an unspecified offnese last year.
Keister’s determination to find love led her to use a large cigarette butt disposal receptacle to smash the glass doors of the police station on Monday when she discovered the door was locked.
Keister was caught on camera outside the police station, where she first tried pounding on the door with her fists before she resorted to bashing the door open.
Once she got inside, Keister began rummaging through filing cabinets, police said.
The building was empty because all officers were out on patrol at the time.
Keister decided to leave the building, but before leaving she smashed more glass with the cigarette butt tray, then waited in her car for police to arrive.
When an officer arrived, Keister began attacking him and threw punches at his head, according to police.
She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, burglary, and vandalism.
The West Wyoming Police Chief Curtis Nocera said that before this incident, Keister would send the police officer that she had a crush on up to 20 explicit messages a day on social media.
She also called 911 just to talk to him, Nocera said.
‘I made her sign a piece of paper saying that she wouldn’t contact a specific officer like she’s been, sending him upwards of 20 plus messages a day,’ Nocera said
