A dad has racked up £4,000 in parking fines on yellow lines outdoors his house after campaigning to get them painted.

Scott Taylor, 33, referred to as for the council to paint lines on his highway in Salford after his daughter, 4, was injured being hit by a car.

He hoped it will scale back the numbers of vehicles parking on the road so it will be simpler for individuals to cross.

The double yellows have been painted round 18 months in the past however Scott continued to park outdoors his home as he had earlier than.

He insists the lines painted outdoors his house have been a mistake and claims Salford Council advised residents that gaps could be left so they may nonetheless park there.

When he realised they have been being painted he rushed to inform a contractor who advised him it was too late.

He stated: ‘The guy who did it told me he was sorry but he couldn’t get them up and advised me to name the council.

‘I’ve had about £4,000 in parking tickets and I’ve had to pay a bailiff £400 when he clamped my car.’
