David Gauke replacement chosen by Conservatives in South West Hertfordshire

Gagan Mohindra has been chosen because the Conservative candidate for South West Hertfordshire.

The constituency was represented by the Tories by former justice secretary David Gauke, till he misplaced the whip in September for voting towards Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal.

Mr Gauke, 48, has stated he is contemplating standing as an impartial.

Mr Mohindra is a member of Essex County Council and Epping Forest District Council.

He is the county council’s cupboard member for finance, property and housing.

Mr Mohindra stood in North Tyneside in 2010 normal election, ending third in a historically sturdy Labour seat.

Some events are but to decide on their candidates for South West Hertfordshire, however Tom Pashby has been chosen for the Green Party and Sally Symington will signify the Liberal Democrats.
