Donald Trump pays respects to 9/11 victims with silence at the White House

Donald Trump has paid his respects to the victims of 9/11 with a second of silence at the White House. 

The US president stood with his hand to his chest, beside his spouse Melania, and each closed their eyes. 

They noticed the second at 8:46 am EDT in commemoration of the 18th anniversary of the assaults on the World Trade Centre in New York, NY, and the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

He was going to the Pentagon afterward to honour the almost 3,000 individuals who died in the largest assault on American soil.

The President earlier tweeted a photograph of himself and the First Lady, with the message “we will never forget” and the date of the assaults. 

The world over there have been mournful ceremonies and appeals to “never forget”.

There had been additionally bids at rising consideration to the terror assaults’ prolonged toll on responders.
