A significant fireplace broke out this morning at a block of flats in Harrow, northwest London.
Footage present flames and smoke billowing from the Platinum Home improvement on Lyon Street in central Harrow.
The London Fireplace Brigade (LFB) stated the hearth had now been introduced beneath management however that firefighters remained on the scene.
It stated: “Eight fireplace engines and round 60 firefighters have been known as to a flat fireplace on Lyon Street in Harrow.
“A flat on the fifth ground of the eight ground constructing was alight.
“The Brigade’s 999 Management centre has acquired 35 calls alerting them to the blaze.
“The Brigade was called at 9.24am and the fire was under control by 10.45am. Crews from Harrow, Northolt, Stanmore and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.”
The LFB added that the “cause of the fire is under investigation”.
