Heathrow drone protest: Four arrests at airport as climate activists prepare to disrupt flights with drones

Four males have been arrested at Heathrow as climate change protestors have been due to trigger disruption at the airport through the use of drones.

The Heathrow Pause group goals to floor flights by illegally flying the remote-controlled gadgets close to the airport in a bid to pressure the Government to take larger steps to scale back carbon emissions.

The 4 males have been stopped by police throughout the perimeter of the transport hub earlier than 6am this morning, police mentioned. They have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a public nuisance.

It comes Met officers yesterday made 5 pre-emptive arrests of activists belonging to the group.

Following the primary arrest, Heathrow Pause mentioned the demonstration would go forward anyway, saying: “The motion will stick with it precisely as deliberate, peacefully and non-violently.”

The first worldwide flights arrived shortly earlier than 5am, marking the beginning of the day for the transport hub.
