James Cracknell, 47, stepped out with his new girlfriend Jordan Connell, who is reportedly in her early 30s, for a romantic walk through Battersea Park in London. The Strictly Come Dancing 2019 contestant smiled as he strolled hand in hand with the blonde Cambridge University finance student this afternoon. Jordan, who is a member of the university “Cougars” cheerleading team, was pictured in a floral printed cream dress. The New Yorker wore her tresses in loose waves and accessorised with a black handbag and matching ballet flats.
James opted for a casual ensemble in a white T-shirt, blue jeans and brown suede boots.
The couple stopped to sit together on a wooden bench as they locked lips in a tender embrace.
The Olympian stared into his girlfriend’s eyes as he gently touched her leg while they relaxed in the sun.
James and Jordan seemed to enjoy their time together as they chatted away and laughed whimsically.
A source previously told the MailOnline about their relationship: “They have become very close and since his marriage break up there are few people who would deny him the support of an attractive young woman.
“The end of James’ marriage to Bev has been amicable and friendly but there’s always going to be regret and maybe loneliness when something like that happens so it’s great he’s going his own way.”
The pair’s outing comes after James finalised his divorce with his ex-wife Beverley Turner, 45, last month.
The athlete announced his separation from the TV host, who he was married to for 17 years, in April.
Beverley is the mother of James’ three children and she has remained at the home they once shared in Chiswick, west London with their 15-year-old son Croyde, and two daughters Kili aged 10 and Trixie eight.
The former couple said in a statement released back in March: “We can confirm that sadly we separated last year.
“Together, we remain committed to our amazing children, they are our absolute priority and wish people to be kind and mindful of this.”
James and Beverley’s marriage changed in 2010 after James was hit by the wing mirror on a lorry while doing a bike ride across America.
The accident caused him to suffer life-changing injuries and significant brain damage.
James was left with slowing speech, epilepsy and a short temper which affected his relationship with his other half.
Beverley previously opened up about when she realised James had changed in her column in The Telegraph.
She wrote: “I missed him. To get him as well as he could be, I knew I was going to have to be harsh on him, like dealing with a child.”
