A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a police officer who was dragged under the wheels of a vehicle.
The 28-year-old newlywed died from multiple injuries after being dragged under a vehicle and possibly hit by a police car.
Jed Foster, 20, was charged with his murder on Monday evening.
He is further charged with the theft of a quad bike.
Foster appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court this morning.
His lawyer indicated that he intended to deny all the charges.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court tomorrow.
It came after investigators at Thames Valley Police were granted an extra 24 hours to question 10 suspects, who were arrested within an hour of the incident at a nearby caravan park.
The youngest was just 13 years old, while the oldest was 30.
The remaining nine have been bailed until September 13.
She wrote: “There is not enough paper in the world to even begin to write a tribute for you, but no one deserves it more.”
