Manchester’s Arndale Centre has been sealed off amid studies of a person with a knife – one week after a number of individuals have been stabbed there.
Armed police have been referred to as to the buying centre earlier.
Greater Manchester Police stated a person had been arrested and there was “not believed to be a wider threat to the community.”
A North West Ambulance Service spokesman stated crews attended however there had been no casualties.
Chief Constable Ian Hopkins stated the arrested man remained in custody for questioning.
A pressure assertion added: “Police remain in attendance at Manchester Arndale Centre following reports of a man with a knife.”
Police are remaining within the space to reassure the general public, the pressure added.
The alert got here one week after 5 individuals have been stabbed on the centre.
Last week individuals ran screaming away from the centre after a person “lunged” and attacked a 19-year-old lady, a 59-year-old man, and one other lady.

A 40-year-old man was detained beneath the Mental Health Act.
