Chelsea boss Frank Lampard says Tammy Abraham will be given ‘every opportunity’ to prove his fitness forward of the go to of Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge.

The striker missed ’s 1-Zero defeat to West Ham on Saturday with a hip damage that he sustained in a 2-2 draw with Valencia.

Olivier Giroud changed the England striker within the beginning line-up however he failed to impress and Lampard is determined to get Abraham again within the beginning line-up.

And, although Lampard admits Abraham remains to be struggling, he says he will give the striker till the final second earlier than ruling him out.

‘We are giving him every opportunity to play tomorrow,’ stated Lampard.

‘We will make the call tomorrow, he has a little bit of pain. He was in good form, he is always keen, he is trying his best.’



Chelsea are trying to get again to successful methods after back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and West Ham.

Lampard confirmed Antonio Rudiger remains to be round ten days away from full fitness, whereas Ross Barkley has been dominated out with illness.

‘Ross has been sick Monday night, not fit to be in the game. Rudiger we are hoping he will be available in a week to ten days,’ stated Lampard.
