Liverpool star Xherdan Shaqiri ‘downbeat’ over lack of game-time under Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool star Xherdan Shaqiri has confessed he’s been left feeling ‘downbeat’ over a lack of taking part in time under Jurgen Klopp this season.

The 27-year-old winger has solely made substitute appearances within the Premier League this time period, approaching within the second half towards Manchester City, Burnley and Newcastle.

It was an analogous story on Tuesday night as Shaqiri was launched within the 87th minute of Liverpool’s 2-Zero defeat away to Napoli within the Champions League.

Though Shaqiri refuses guilty Klopp for his lack of game-time, the Switzerland worldwide admits he’s been left annoyed in current weeks.

‘It is not easy for me, of course I am a little downbeat,’ the previous Bayern Munich attacker informed Teleclub.



‘You have to have the ability to deal with that and it’s a must to settle for it, I used to be all the time nonetheless within the squad.

‘You cannot ask the coach to play every match.’

Despite his frustrations, Shaqiri insists he’s pleased with life at Liverpool under ‘great coach’ Klopp.

‘I feel very comfortable here,’ he added.

‘We have a great coach, a great club. There’s a household really feel.

‘I hope we can bring the back to Liverpool after 30 years.’
