Sourav Ganguly has challenged India captain Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri to ‘win big tournaments’ after their latest failings on the worldwide stage.
India have been some of the constant and profitable groups on the planet over the previous three years, profitable 129 matches and shedding simply 50 for the reason that begin of 2016.
No different staff has amassed as many wins as India, whereas their win-loss ratio of two.58 is the best of any aspect to have performed a minimum of 20 matches.
However, India haven’t lifted an ICC trophy since 2013, exiting on the semi-final stage within the final two World Cups and struggling defeat within the 2014 World T20 last.
‘They are a much better side than that,’ Ganguly stated. ‘That is the one space the place they should get themselves prepared mentally.
‘The talent is enormous. Otherwise, they couldn’t have performed so properly within the World Cup till the semi-finals.
‘So that’s a problem which Virat wants to deal with. And that doesn’t occur within the boardroom.
‘It is a very good side. My only thing is that they need to win big tournaments. I’m not saying they should win each time. It’s not attainable.
‘But we have gone through seven big tournaments [five for India’s males and two for the ladies’s staff] with out profitable one.’
