Chelsea are already making plans for the upcoming transfer window and the club are understood to be in the market for a new striker with Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland on their shortlist.
But according to the Sunday World, Tuchel has put forward his own list of recommendations to Chelsea’s board and one of the names proposed is Marquinhos.
The Brazil international spent just over two years playing under Tuchel at PSG and formed a solid partnership alongside Thiago Silva, who has thrived at Chelsea since making the move to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer last summer.
Chelsea, however, will face a tough task of reuniting Tuchel with Marquinhos as the 26-year-old will still have three years remaining on his contract with PSG this summer.
The Sunday World’s report also claims that Chelsea have made Jadon Sancho their ‘top target’ ahead of the summer window, although they will be up against strong competition with Manchester United and Liverpool also in the race.
Speaking last week, Tuchel admitted he would give his own opinions to Chelsea’s hierarchy about their transfer targets but says he will not get upset if the club are unable to secure the names he will put forward.
‘I have opinions about what we can add to the group to get better,’ said Tuchel.
‘This is my job and I will give my opinion and I am asked my opinion and we will do this and sometimes opinions change.
‘This is also a process and I have my ideas of course. I have ideas of certain profiles. This is not about me wishing for this player A and B and if they don’t come I will get angry. This was never like this in my whole career. This will not be like this.
‘I totally understand there are issues to solve with the agents, the player, the interests of a club. It is not only about me and my wishes.
‘I talk with the club and give my opinion and we share this with the scouting and of course I’m involved and I should be involved and I have absolutely the feeling that I am involved.
‘The players that we have are fantastic players with big personalities. Right now is even the moment where we get to know each other better and better and we have big games coming and coming and crucial times ahead of us.
‘We will have a very clear picture of our group at least and the stronger they perform the harder it is to improve the squad from outside. But there is always room and there are always ideas and we will find out.
‘I have the strong feeling we are not in a rush and we are not in a big need and very relaxed. Right now everybody is fully focused and it is not the moment to get distracted with any other subjects.’
