Rashford scored twice within the first half at Old Trafford to assist United safe a 2-1 victory, whereas Alexander-Arnold struggled up against his England teammate.
However, when requested about his performance up against Rashford in March 2018, Alexander-Arnold admits it was a ‘massive learning curve’.
‘Yeah, the toughest in terms of a direct opponent and someone getting on top of me in professional football,’ Alexander-Arnold mentioned in an interview with The Athletic.
‘I’d say I underestimated him. It was a large studying curve for me.
‘It was one thing that I hated occurring.
‘As a Liverpool player it’s in all probability the worst sport of the season to carry out like that.
‘But when things like that happen you have to learn from them.’
