Grieving dad travels 1,500 miles to confront dealer who supplied deadly diet pills to his daughter

The grieving father of a younger girl who was killed by banned diet pills flew 1,500 miles to the Ukraine to confront the dealer.

Doug Shipsey stated he needed to safe justice for his daughter Beth, who suffered a cardiac arrest after taking the deadly pills.

He confronted fitness center fanatic Andrei Shepelev and secured a rare confession regardless of admitting he feared he would possibly get shot.

Doug, from Worcester, held up an image of Beth as he instructed the dealer: ‘I want you to look into my daughter’s eyes and apologise for promoting her the pills that killed her.’

She was taken to a resuscitation room, but was moved to make way for others, and only had a tracheotomy for respiratory arrest when it was too late and died.

Beth, an animal rights activist, died aged 21 in February 2017 after taking so-called ‘fat-burning’ pills despatched by Shepelev.

He admitted processing the deadly chemical that killed her, which he then put it into capsules and despatched to England hidden inside a DVD case.

Experts have stated the pills, which comprise dinitrophenol – so-called DNP – are ‘extremely dangerous.’

DNP, which was initially designed as an industrial pesticide, has been linked to 23 deaths within the since 2012.

Shepelev, 31, admitted to Doug that the pills got here from him, in accordance to the Daily Mail.

The dealer reportedly stated: ‘I’m sorry, however I simply needed to make some cash.

Doug had travelled from his dwelling to the Shepelev’s grubby one-bed flat in Volochysk, Khmelnytskyi, western Ukraine.

Beth’s dad admitted: ‘‘I didn’t understand how [Shepelev] would react – I although he would possibly pull out an AK-47 and shoot me.

‘When I stood in the door of Shepelev’s flat, with its partitions stained yellow from his drug manufacturing, I had to restrain myself from wanting to wring his neck.

‘But that’s not me – I simply needed him to admit what he’s completed, and apologise for it to Beth’s household, whereas trying into her eyes and mine. I need to ship a message to different sellers in loss of life – we, the family of their victims, will come for them.’
