A manhunt is underway to find a group who are suspected of stealing from a man while he was having a fit.
Police have released images of the five men who are believed to have taken a sentimental gold ring he was wearing at the time.
The victim had left a nightclub in Bristol at around 2.30am on July 7, this year, when he was targeted by the group.
CCTV images show the group approaching the man and chatting among themselves as he lay on the floor.
When the victim recovered from the attack, he noticed the sentimental piece had been taken.
Police have now released CCTV images of the men in a bid to help their investigation.
An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: ‘We’re issuing CCTV images of a group of men who we’d like to speak in connection with a theft of gold ring of sentimental value on Anchor Road, Bristol.
‘The incident occurred on Sunday 7 July at around 2.30am the day after St Paul’s Carnival (Saturday 6 July).
‘The victim made his way from a night club onto Anchor Road when he suffered a fit.
‘A group of men approached him and when he recovered the ring was missing’.
Police have confirmed the incident is not believed to be linked in any way to St Paul’s Carnival but have mentioned the event in the hope it will help jog someone’s memory.
