The M25 is closed in each instructions following an enormous crash involving a crane which overturned and smashed through the central reservation.
The collision occurred at Junction 27 with the M11 in Essex on Friday night.
It has prompted big tailbacks in each instructions together with greater than 10 miles on the clockwise carriageway.
Anti-clockwise, the carriageway is at present closed between junctions 28 and 27 with visitors congestion again to junction 29.
Essex Police confirmed no-one was significantly injured however added the highway is more likely to be closed for ‘some considerable time’.

Debris from the upturned crane was strewn throughout each carriageways, making it not possible for vehicles to cross.
The highways company mentioned the incident can also be inflicting congestion on the M25 clockwise between junction 25 and 27, including at the very least 80 minutes to regular journey instances.
