A person is fighting for life and one other severely injured after a double stabbing in south London.

Officers have been referred to as to Elephant and Castle station simply earlier than 11.30pm on Sunday after two males have been discovered severely injured in a road close by.

They have been rushed to a close-by hospital with stab wounds that left a 24-year-old man in a vital situation and a 25-year-old man in a critical situation.

Two males have been arrested in relation to the incident, described by police as a ‘shocking act of violence’.

Elephant and Castle station is more likely to be closed for a interval through the early morning whereas forensic examinations happen, British Transport police stated.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Blackburn stated: ‘This was a surprising act of violence and we’re working exhausting to ascertain the complete circumstances behind what occurred.



‘While the investigation is still at an early stage, at this time we believe there was an altercation between two groups of men inside the Underground station and it is here the victims sustained their injuries before making their way onto the street.’
