Officers investigating an alleged assault outside of the Savoy hotel final Christmas are interesting for the victim to come back ahead.

The Met Police have launched a picture of a person they imagine was assaulted at round 9pm on Sunday, 30 December outside the hotel on the Strand.

Officers have been known as to the incident however the victim didn’t want to make any allegations on the time and declined medical therapy earlier than leaving the realm.

Enquires have re-opened after CCTV footage of the assault later appeared on social media.

Police have taken the bizarre step of asking for the victim, or anybody who can establish him to come back ahead.

Police were called at around 21:00hrs on Sunday, 30 December to the hotel on the Strand following reports of a man being assaulted. All parties were spoken to. The victim, a man, did not wish to make any allegations and declined medical treatment before leaving the area. CCTV footage later appeared on social media and enquiries into the incident were re-opened. Officers are now releasing an image of the man they believe to be the victim of the assault and are appealing for him, or anyone who can identify him, to come forward.

It is believed he is round 40-years-old and is pictured sporting a particular jacket and black hat on the time of the assault.

Police stated a suspect has been recognized however it’s believed he is not residing within the and the investigation stays ongoing.

Sergeant Robert Harris, from the Met’s Central West workforce stated: ‘At the time of the incident the person assaulted didn’t want to pursue any allegations and declined any additional help from emergency providers.

‘In order to progress our investigation, we have to communicate to this man as quickly as potential.

‘Anyone who can help is urged to get in touch with the police on 101 with reference 6164/30DEC or Crimestoppers anonymously on 020 8345 418’.
