A young person has been bedbound for two years after an ingrown hair grew to become contaminated, leaving a fist-sized hole in his back.
Chae Ruffold, 15, has been unable to take a seat or stand since he developed a pilonidal sinus, a situation that left him with a painful open wound on the base of his backbone after the tunnel in his pores and skin grew to become contaminated.

Michele mentioned: ‘The wound is getting bigger by the day, it’s rotting him away very steadily.
‘We need this surgery otherwise it will get worse, it’ll enable him to start out therapeutic once more.

‘We can’t exit, we will’t do something as a household, we haven’t been capable of go on vacation.
