Lupo, a nine-year-old black cocker spaniel, was a marriage current from Kate‘s brother James.
But on Sunday, the couple stated on Instagram: “Very sadly final weekend our expensive dog, Lupo, handed away.
“He has been at the coronary heart of our household for the previous 9 years and we are going to miss him a lot.”
James stated on Instagram: “Nothing can ever put together you for the loss of a dog.
“For those that have by no means had a dog, it could be laborious to grasp the loss.
“However for those who have loved a dog know the truth: a dog is not just a pet; it is a member of the family, a best friend, a loyal companion, a teacher and a therapist.”
